Borivoj Zeman (March 6, 1912, Prague - December 23, 1991, Prague) was a Czech director and screenwriter. After graduating from high school, he began working in public administration. He worked in the office for eight years as an ordinary clerk. He began the boredom of office routine by writing ideas and screenplays for short films that were not yet used at the time. He is known for movies The Proud Princess (1952), Once Upon a Time, There Was a King (1954) and Angel in the Mountains (1955).
