In every romantic relationship, sooner or later the question arises: do we want a child? A question that often occurs to a woman before her partner. Frenk Meeuwsen struggled with conflicting feelings for some time, but eventually found his answer: 'Yes, I want one!' In this semi-autobiographical novel, the author humorously recounts everything that happened next, from intimate moments between his doppelgänger Frenkel and his girlfriend Zaza, to comforting pub chatter, hospital antics, and much more... Simply all the adventures of year zero! An excellent book about life during pregnancy and everything that follows... Frenk Meeuwsen was born in 1965. He is a painter and illustrator, studied at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy and the Rijksakademie of Visual Arts in Amsterdam, and exhibits his paintings both at home in the Netherlands and abroad. He has long been interested in Eastern teachings and martial arts - he himself holds a black belt in karate. In the mid-90s, he lived in the temple city of Kyoto, where he created a number of Japanese sketches that he later used in his first graphic novel Zen without a Master. This was followed in 2020 by the semi-autobiographical Year Zero.
