Beschreibung
The heroine of the novel grows up with her bohemian family in a dilapidated villa under Prague's Hradčany. Normalization begins, her parents' marriage falls apart, and the young girl encounters the rules set by the regime. She decides to escape to Paris, where, however, complicated romantic relationships soon catch up with her. After the Velvet Revolution, she heads further West. But even as a mature woman and mother, she does not give up on her dreams. A novel about the desire for a free life, for which we are willing to sacrifice even what we love.
