This publication was written a hundred years ago, published in 1922, but its content remains relevant today during the war in Ukraine, when many world leaders speak of us being realistically at the beginning of a third world war and a major conflict between the West and the East. The publication "Deeds and Not Words of the Peace Pope Benedict XV" is the work of the first Czechoslovak cardinal Karel Kašpar, who summarized the life story of Pope Benedict XV in this work, who tried to stop World War I and end "that senseless massacre." For his efforts to end the war and achieve a just peace, Pope Benedict XV was disparagingly attacked by fanatics from both sides, who were not interested in his peace efforts and wanted him to support their side in that crazy slaughter. In a letter to the governments of the warring countries, Pope Benedict XV wrote: "At the end of the first year of the war, I turned to you with a heartfelt appeal to embark on the path leading to a stable and dignified peace. Unfortunately, I was not heard. The war continued viciously for another two years and brought further horrors, becoming even more brutal and spreading across land, sea, and even in the air, from where death and suffering fell upon defenseless cities, peaceful villages, and their inhabitants.…
