Beschreibung
What is so beautiful, so miraculous about Christmas? And how can a little mouse befriend the Pope? Mouse Jirka lives with his big family in Rome. During frequent expeditions through the streets of his hometown, he discovers various beauties, but he must avoid one great danger – cats! While fleeing from one such beast, he encounters Pope Francis. They take a liking to each other, and the Pope invites him over and tells him about the meaning of Christmas: "Jesus's God is simply like that. He is closest, Jirka, to the simplest, the poorest, and the smallest..." – "So even to mice? We are also very small." – "Even to mice... And don't forget, also to cats. God thinks of everyone." The smile on the mouse's pointy snout faded a bit, but in the end, he thought it was actually good. The Jesus that Pope Francis told him about was becoming more and more appealing. This adventurous story for preschoolers and young schoolchildren will awaken children's interest in Christmas and its message. They will learn, among other things, why and thanks to whom nativity scenes are built all over the world.
