Opposites attract. This is also true in the case of a pop star who gets stuck in a small town and a local baker. Amélie Rose, known to her admirers as Rae Rose, feels burnt out after years of conforming her life to the image of a 'pop princess.' Inspired by the movie Roman Holiday with her favorite Audrey Hepburn, she runs away to Rome in the middle of the night. But this Rome is in Kentucky, USA. When Noah Walker discovers Amélie in a broken-down car on his front lawn, he makes it clear that he has neither the time nor the patience for celebrity problems. He is busy managing the bakery left to him by his grandmother and dealing with well-meaning but nosy neighbors. With mixed feelings, he eventually lets the pop star stay in his guest room – but only until her car is fixed. Over time, however, Noah begins to see Amélie, the kind-hearted, slightly quirky girl who has been lonely after years in the public eye, and against his will, he slowly starts to get closer to her. In return, Amélie helps him transform from a grumpy old man into a person with an open heart. Gradually, she falls in love with her companion and his charming little town. But even Audrey had to leave Rome in the end...
