Moje cesta do světa – Ruchadze Konstantin (2022)

A memoir by a guitarist, composer, and music producer. He has lived (and still lives) in many countries. He lived for an extended period in six countries: the Soviet Union, Czechoslovakia, Austria, the Netherlands, and Spain, and briefly lived in the land of his ancestors, Georgia. He was born in 1950 in Moscow; his father was of Georgian descent, and his mother was of Jewish descent. He spent the most important years for his personality formation in Czechoslovakia (in Prague), from the age of thirteen (1963) to twenty-one (1971), when he decided to emigrate. He performed in the bands Captains Souls Blues Band and Blue Devils. At the turn of 1968 and 1969, he played in the Strahov club and participated in anti-occupation demonstrations in August 1969. In 1970, he founded the Ruchadze Band. He currently lives in Amsterdam but frequently travels to the Czech Republic, where his mother lives, where he has friends, and where a large part of his musical activities take place. In the book, Kostiantyn Ruchadze recounts his unconventional life journey. The Georgian name Ruchadze translates to gray, which certainly does not correspond to everything the author has gone through and the adventures he has experienced.
