Since Luxembourg chef Xavier Kieffer started dating the most famous food critic in France, he has been receiving invitations to the most exclusive parties. However, the fancy dinner at the Paris mayor's house ends after the appetizer: Rjúnosuke Mifune, the most renowned sushi chef in Europe, suddenly collapses dead. The conclusion of the investigation states: poisoned by fish. But Kieffer soon uncovers certain inconsistencies, and after fully immersing himself in the world of sushi preparation, he realizes that some fish are more expensive than gold and more valuable than human life.
