Captain Sylvie Kurtišová has just taken over as the head of the Olomouc criminal police. On the same day, a young couple is found dead in their apartment, having committed suicide together. Sylvie feels that something is off about this seemingly clear case, and her instincts do not fail her. Together with her colleagues, she uncovers an extensive blackmailing scheme. The investigation takes her to Hradec Králové, Brno, and Jihlava, where she becomes interested in a suspicious lawyer. Meanwhile, a local investigator has also focused on her: a severed head has been found in her apartment. But then the lawyer disappears without a trace, and Sylvie knows she has only hours left to prevent another murder.
