And what about a weekend at the cottage? ***** Thirty-year-old Valérie is emotionally unstable, swallowing calming pills and convincing herself that she hates children. Petr, after many years of marriage, leaves his wife and falls into loneliness and despair. Veronika is coping with the death of her husband, whom she cheated on. Jaromír wants to start a family but struggles to form a normal relationship with a woman. A weekend gathering at a mountain cottage seemingly cannot change the fates of this mismatched quartet. Yet, upon returning home, the calm lives of the protagonists begin to take unexpected turns. It only takes a few small impulses for old wounds to open and new questions to arise — must Petr really remain alone? Could Valérie truly not handle a child? And could Charlotte's death have hurt any less once? However, the protagonists often do not seek answers to these questions consciously and deliberately; rather, they arrive at them with difficulty and through life itself. Life then determines their direction, often spontaneously and unpredictably.
