The publication provides, in addition to the necessary theoretical foundation, a number of practical insights and experiences from the field of erythrocyte immunohematology. It offers clear information about blood group systems and other erythrocyte antigens, including their clinical significance and functions. Separate chapters are dedicated to the immunohematological aspects of transfusions, post-transfusion immune reactions of the red series, autoimmune hemolytic anemias, and hemolytic disease of the fetus and newborn. A large part of the textbook is devoted to investigative methods in immunohematology, including a wide range of problems and pitfalls associated with their implementation with clinical relevance.
