Beschreibung
The publication contains brief information about the history of mediation in the world and in the Czech Republic from the perspective of the non-profit sector, you will learn the differences between facilitative, evaluative, and transformative mediation, and gradually familiarize yourself with the basic skills of a mediator and the entire process of facilitative mediation. In this process, a neutral third party leads the negotiations, and the parties involved mutually respect the agreement as the result of a negotiated solution. The book includes numerous examples, guidelines, and insights from practice. We recommend the book as a basic manual for beginner mediators as well as practicing mediators. The text focuses on mediation in the civil area – in community, family, and workplace spheres – and not on mediation within criminal justice. The book, updated by the author's close collaborator Elena Mešková after the author's death, is intended for all those who help resolve family, workplace, community, and interethnic conflicts in their professional lives.
