The most successful one-act play by Václav Havel was created in 1975, when the author worked as a laborer in a brewery in Trutnov. The play revolves around the writer Ferdinand Vaněk (Václav Havel), who is invited by his superior to offer him a deal – a promotion to a warehouseman, but he must report on himself for the StB in return. The play was first released on a record and later in a theatrical version, in which Pavel Landovský excelled. The audience was presented in at least 13 countries around the world. A recording of the performance directed by Jiří Menzel is supplemented by an interesting documentary about Václav Havel's meeting with the creators after the unique theater performance.
