At the age of 75, phenomenal actress Hana Maciuchová left us

More sad news - as if there was not enough of it these days.

Hana Maciuchova was born on November 29th, 1945 in Sternberk. She played countless theatrical, television and film roles.  Viewers liked beautiful Anicka from Krkonosske Pohadky or noble Miriam, a high school teacher from the Czech series Ulice.  However, she left the difficult world of the everyday TV series years ago and in recent years appeared rarely in front of the camera.

She played her first movie role in the film ORGAN in 1964. It is especially worth mentioning the biographical drama Man Against Destruction, where she played the main female character - Karel Capek's wife Olga Scheinpflugova.  Many years later, she appeared in one of the supporting roles in the successful film Loners/Samotari. Hana Maciuchova's career and popularity was created by television, where she first appeared in a television transcript of the classic horror Hrabe Dracula.

She was soon elevated into the position of an acting star by the life roles of the self-confident and temperamental Anca in the fairy tale produced by Czechoslovak television Fairy-tale at Krkonose Mountains /Krkonosska pohadka.  In the following years she became a very popular actress. She appeared in the series The Cottagers/Chalupari , The Saleswoman / Zena za pultem, 30 Cases of Major Zeman / 30 Pripadu Majora Zemana, Today in one house or Novak Dynasty.  Her popularity peaked during the broadcast of the cult series Hospital at the End of the City/Nemocnice na kraji mesta, where she played a jealous wife of one of the doctors.

These series granted her popularity for the rest of her career. She appeared, among other things, in the A Prague Underworld/Panoptikum mesta prazskeho, Policeman's Humoresque  /Cetnicke humoresky, both sequels to the NEMOCNICE NA KRAJI MESTA, and most recently in the series Ulice, Dobra ctvrt and Prikopy.
