Synopsis
The Antlers/Parohy
Oldřich Nový was and will forever remain the embodiment of charm, elegance, and personal charisma in Czech cinema, adored by women of all ages. In his unforgettable romantic roles, he portrayed not only a romantic who could fall in love with a girl from an old painting or succumb to the chocolate-brown eyes of a minister's friend, but also a seducer for whom infidelity was a regular sport, or conversely, a newlywed obsessed with jealousy. Such is the character of Viktorin, the main protagonist in this madcap Art Nouveau comedy centered around a massive pair of deer antlers. The involuntary owner of this fitting gift is the jealous Viktorin, and it’s not hard to guess the chaos such a present can cause.
