Synopsis
The Undertaker/Funebrak
Funeral home employee Pleticha misinterprets a phone call from his boss, thinking he needs to organize a funeral at a given address. In reality, he was supposed to buy a wedding gift and deliver it to a relative. Upon realizing the mistake, Pleticha entertains the wedding guests with dances and songs from various nations as a form of apology. One guest, Grandpa Boleslav Hnipírdo, recounts a train collision he experienced near Vrňany on his way to Prague, from which he emerged unscathed and without seeking compensation. Seizing the opportunity, Pleticha impersonates Hnipírdo, bandages his leg, and heads to the railway company's headquarters to claim compensation. During the detailed questioning about his journey, his talkativeness reveals that he jumped onto a moving train, traveled without a ticket, spat on the window, and pulled the emergency brake.

Synopsis
The man in the air/Muz v povetri
Vlasta Burian stars as inventor Čáp, whose experiments disturb the peace of the town of Krásnov. Mr. Čáp's goal is to discover the eternal matchstick. His attempts fill the air with smoke and odor, accompanied by explosions. Some townspeople find it entertaining, while others fear for their lives.
