Description
The story of the book takes place approximately sixty years ago. We peek with the author into the staff room and classrooms, among the often quirky teachers of one of the largest vocational schools in the country. It describes the trust of the adolescent boys in their final year towards their slightly older, novice teacher – their homeroom teacher, as well as their provocations and small mischiefs. Despite her petite stature, she commanded respect from the tall, almost manly boys. The colorful description of one school year in the 1960s also has a historical dimension, reflecting the spirit of the then-loosened era. The characters of the teachers are diverse, and the humor in the staff room corresponds to the age of the predominantly young educators, who have not yet forgotten their student years. But at the forefront is the protagonist of the book – the inexperienced teacher who experiences and cultivates her relationship with her students with her own brand of humor, perhaps that is why she receives the greatest reward: the students like her.
