Description
From the children's hospital to the Štefánikova district runs Merhautova Street, one of the longest streets in Brno. But when you ask a random passerby who it is named after, you will probably find out that it is named after some politician. It is shameful, but the writer Josef Merhaut, who was the first to write stories set in Brno, has fallen into oblivion for many Brno residents. And so, to revive the Merhaut name, his great-grandson wrote the novel "Fear and Poverty of Ghosts," a gripping story that borrows its punchline from the film "Some Like It Hot."
