Description
"The boys even cheered when I showed up at work on January 4, 1999. I was still a member of the 322nd Tactical Squadron, which was part of the 32nd Tactical Air Base in Náměšť nad Oslavou. In my role as the commander of the first flight, I was once again in command of four Su-25K attack aircraft, which were referred to as Frogfoot in NATO code (translated into Czech as Žabí noha)." With this statement, I could easily segue into everything I have tried to convey in this autobiographically oriented story. The perspective of an ordinary young pilot on events in Czechoslovak and later Czech military aviation at the end of the eighties and throughout the nineties. Those who wanted to fly and flew combat aircraft at that time often shared the fate I described. Many of the aviators will certainly find themselves in this book. It is largely dedicated to them. My narrative is intended for all those who are not strangers to military aircraft and flying.
