Description
The book provides access to the life, work, and thoughts of František Uhlíř (1900–1980), a prominent politician of the Czechoslovak National Socialist Party, vice-chairman of the exiled State Council during World War II, and later a professor of sociology in Canadian exile after February 1948, an Anglican priest, and founder of the Temple Pastures mission for Christian adult education near Ottawa. Readers receive a commented edition of previously unknown Uhlíř's diaries and memoirs from World War II, along with a publication of the English translation of his memoirs published in Canada. Both the wartime memoirs and diaries, as well as the Canadian memoirs, are supplemented by scholarly studies from the editors.
