Broučkova rodina - DVD

The series Broučkova rodina is a loose continuation of the two previous seasons of the puppet animated cycle - Broučci (inspired by the book by Jan Karafiát) and Dobrodružství na pasece (inspired by the books of J. Haise-Týnecký and J. Karafiát) - and we once again embark on a journey to a small cottage under the juniper. There lives the family of our familiar fireflies - Brouček and Beruška. Both are now adults, they got married, and they have many children together. One of the little girls is named Janinka, in memory of her kind namesake, and although she cannot walk and is in a wheelchair, her siblings take great care of her. The two oldest sons - Svatojánek and Janínek - slowly begin to fly and shine every evening. During their adventures, they experience a series of escapades, such as when Janínek gets caught in a spider's web, or when both brothers get lost in the underground of a stalactite cave. Just like the original work of Jan Karafiát, this puppet portrayal of the heroes from his book is infused with true Christian love, and besides the thrilling incidents of the little fireflies, it brings children a subtle message about real values.
