Synopsis
John Wayne plays a former Confederate soldier who sets out to find his niece after she is captured by Comanche raiders during a massacre that destroys her family. Despite hunger, thirst, harsh conditions and isolation, he continues his five-year search across the frontier. Along the way, he discovers an unexpected sense of his own humanity. John Ford directs this classic Western.
