Synopsis
The Big Red One follows a sergeant and his young infantrymen through the Second World War, from North Africa through Normandy and across Europe. Drawing on director Samuel Fuller’s wartime experience, the film presents combat as a physical, exhausting struggle shaped by fear, bloodshed and survival. Lee Marvin leads a cast that includes Mark Hamill, Robert Carradine and Bobby Di Cicco.
