Synopsis
In 1553, England’s aristocracy uses royal approval to seize church wealth and the country’s most fertile land. Sixteen-year-old Lady Jane Grey disagrees with the conduct and religious views of her noble peers, but her sheltered life gives her little power to act. A strange sequence of events places her on the throne as Queen Jane, ruler of England for nine days. Patrick Stewart plays Henry Grey, Duke of Suffolk.
