Synopsis
After learning that her beloved Joffrey de Peyrac is still alive, Angelique boards a royal galley bound for Sardinia. The vessel is commanded by the court-favoured Duke de Vivonne, but pirates attack during the voyage. Angelique escapes by leaping into the sea, unaware that the pirate leader Rescator is in fact Joffrey, the man she is determined to find.
