Synopsis
For several years, Maciej (brilliantly portrayed by Jacek Braciak) has traveled with his 17-year-old daughter Wiktoria (Karolina Bruchnicka) to tennis tournaments. Their lives consist solely of journeys from training to matches and back. Maciej, both father and coach, is everything to Wiktoria, and he is her entire world. Maciej believes they are on the brink of reaching Wimbledon, until the arrival of Igor (Bartłomiej Kowalski), a promising and handsome young tennis player who also starts training under Maciej. "The Coach's Daughter" is a film filled with subtle humor, addressing the complexities of finding one's own identity. The father dreams of his daughter becoming a Polish tennis champion, but she begins to do everything she can to escape the sport.
