Kytarová škola pro začátečníky – Zámečník Vítek (2020)

This Czech-language guitar course is intended primarily for students and teachers at basic art schools, but also serves guitar enthusiasts of all ages, including self-taught learners. Its clear, accessible and progressive teaching system introduces musical concepts and classical-guitar techniques through a broad selection of pieces by contemporary and classical composers, exercises and familiar songs from around the world. The course includes more than 100 audiovisual YouTube clips containing 150 pieces, songs and exercises, accessible by scanning QR codes in the book with a smartphone or tablet. The videos support convenient home practice whenever needed. The colourfully illustrated textbook has sewn binding, clearly legible large-format music notation and paper designed to prevent notation and illustrations from showing through. It includes a chapter list, an alphabetical list of pieces and colour-coded chapter markers for easy navigation. A concise theory section is methodically connected with the pieces and exercises rather than taught separately. The author is a graduate of the Pilsen Conservatory, a guitarist, composer and classical-guitar teacher with 27 years of experience.
