The second of three volumes in an Italian course for middle- and secondary-school students at A2 level, this book is designed for beginners and false beginners and addresses familiar topics and everyday situations. Italian language and culture are introduced through lively comic stories featuring five Italian teenagers who share the students’ interests, problems, anxieties and experiences, with realism and humour. The coursebook contains six teaching units, each divided into two sections for more gradual learning, along with grammar appendices, a balance of communicative and grammatical elements, authentic interviews with Italian teenagers, varied accents, photographs, charts, quizzes and other cultural material. Each unit includes the youth magazine Conosciamo l’Italia, mini-projects based on the topics covered, and the accompanying exercise book with varied, playful exercises and video activities. The set also includes an audio CD and DVD, and uses a modern, dynamic design combining comics and photographic material.
