The New Readings are divided into three categories according to the age and linguistic level of the readers: ELI Poussins Readings, ELI Junior Readings, and ELI Seniors Readings. This classification adheres to the descriptions of the Common European Framework of Reference. These are narrative texts of high literary quality and strong identity relevance. The titles include both original creations and major classics in complete or abridged versions. The various sections accompanying the text (notes on the author, deepening, activities) aim to enrich the reading experience by facilitating understanding and language learning. ELI Senior Readings offer a rich and varied selection of classics of Spanish literature divided into six linguistic levels, with the inclusion of exercises for certification preparation from level A1 to C2 to meet the requirements of high school to university students.
