Beschreibung
The original title of the book was Cold War 3.0, but it is being published under the title War of Civilizations. The author changed the title due to the changing situation. Jaroslav Doubrava has been preparing the book since 2021 as an informal encyclopedia. He analyzed important phenomena of organized violence emerging from the jungle. Because the book is about contemporary organized violence after 1990, it is very extensive, and therefore it is divided into chapters and many subchapters so that the reader can focus on specific issues. In a very extensive appendix about the mafia connections in the Vrbětice case, Jaroslav Doubrava revives a now-forgotten event and describes it as an exemplary case, as an inventory of warehouses after explosions. The Vrbětice case is a direct product of the Cold War 2.0. It is a product of typical propagandistic hysteria, political dependency, and calculation similar to that of the socialist era. It also shows how powerless people are because they live in the shadow of targeted state political propaganda. A similarly extensive 'people's encyclopedia of violence' has been missing in Czech literature so far.
