The new book by Dan Hrubý, Prague Stories: The Lost World of the Old Town, is another part of the popular book series that describes the modern history of the old Prague neighborhoods. It fills old Prague with authentic life. In the Old Town lived the family of the brightest star of post-war Hollywood, a beautiful figure skater, an incorrigible bigamist, and a churchwarden who kept chickens in the attic on Železná Street and was honored by the Danish queen. The funniest Czech pilot from the RAF fought his last battle here, and a pop idol from the nineties sought an escape from himself.
