In this book, I will familiarize myself with previously secret or recently declassified archival documents, the background of political events, and the actions of their actors from post-war history to the present day. Who among you knows in detail, for example, the history of the so-called Moscow Signals, whose radio waves illuminated the American embassy in Moscow for ten years in the 1970s, but whose existence family members of American diplomats were not allowed to know? This is just one of many other facts that the author describes in his book. After all, as a journalist, he spent most of his life abroad, whether as a permanent correspondent for Mladá fronta in France or as its foreign reporter, who traveled the world, except for Japan and Australia, established friendly relations with their leading figures, and also with seven of our presidents, researching in our and foreign archives to verify individual facts. It was not always easy work; he was a direct witness to several wars in different parts of the world, the earthquake in Skopje, and other events.
