The book titled Czech Rap provides readers with a complete mapping of the history and present of this popular music genre, through interviews with representatives of the scene, supplemented by thematic chapters and dozens of unique photographs. Author Ladislav 'Poeta' Zeman interviewed dozens of artists, from the pioneers of the genre to contemporary stars, searched through archives of long-defunct rap websites, collected album covers from across the country, and spent hours in the archives of rap photographers. All this to create a unique testimony of how rap evolved in our conditions from a marginal underground genre to its current form, which dominates sales and streaming charts, fills the largest clubs across the Czech Republic, and influences an entire generation of today's youth.
