Beschreibung
This Czech-language social-psychological novel, woven through with humour, irony and exaggeration, points to the mistakes society makes when authorities deal with a young, developing individual. The story is told from the perspective of a child and later an adolescent, allowing a credible portrayal and deeper insight into the protagonist’s thoughts, experiences and emotions. Like many people her age, the adolescent Eliška feels she has already experienced everything and has nothing left to lose. She does not yet realise that life has truly served her a great deal, and then some more. The author also shares a personal introduction, describing her family life, broad range of interests and work focused on developing understanding of children, particularly through a communication method based on the natural hygiene of babies.
