For a long time, I wanted to write scripts related to creating jazz improvisation, but I didn't have the opportunity to publish a book. When Mr. JUDr. Emil Ščuka (director of the International Conservatory Prague) approached me to write scripts for the bass guitar, I immediately seized this opportunity. The aim of this book is for conservatory students and advanced players to have a suitable template for how to improvise correctly. There are many ways to improvise, and it is always important what melodic feeling and rhythm the interpreter has. These are the two basic aspects of improvisation. This book contains a manual on how to play and master jazz modes in scales and various improvisational motifs. I believe this book will be beneficial for every bass guitar player interested in an overview of scales and fingerings or jazz improvisation.
