Praktická cvičebnice intonace a rytmu – Mazourová Markéta (2021)

The scripts are a practical overview of the scales, intervals, chords, and rhythmic figures used, and will serve music students across disciplines and genres. In the first part of the textbook, titled Rhythm, the author presents an overview of rhythmic figures, demonstrated through practical notated exercises that can serve both percussion players - after all, the author is an active player - and students from all other fields to familiarize themselves with the rhythmical elements commonly used in various musical styles and forms. The exercises are arranged in increasing difficulty and will guide the student from the very basics (elementary combinations of quarter and eighth notes) to more complex elements (triplets, etc.). The second part of the textbook, collectively titled Ear and Intonation, contains subsections on Intervals, Scales, and Chords. The explanation of intervals and chords is illustrated with examples of the use of these elements from the most famous jazz standards. In short notated excerpts of these standards, the specific discussed element is always graphically highlighted.
