November 17, 1989 marked a turning point in our modern history. A peaceful demonstration was violently suppressed on Národní třída. The author compellingly brings the event closer through authentic testimonies from participants in the demonstration as well as accounts from the commanders of the intervention; he follows not only the course of the entire event but also its preparations and the subsequent investigation of the intervention, seeking an answer to the question of whether it was a planned conspiracy. In the final chapter, he reveals the higher meaning and spiritual background of what took place on Národní třída.
