The publication presents phenomena that can be observed throughout the year at the entrance, on the landing board, and near the hive, along with their appropriate explanations, in 80 pages. Thanks to the book by the experienced beekeeper H. Storch, the beekeeper can understand what is happening in the bee colony without having to open the hive and disturb the bees. Every opening of the hive, especially interventions in the brood chamber, disrupts the activity and life of the colony as an organism. The book 'At the Entrance' thus leads to a more sensitive approach to bee colonies and to respecting their integrity. Therefore, it has become a popular beekeeping 'classic' abroad, published regularly for decades. It is being published in Czech for the first time.
