Young, not very successful fighter in war robots Jarmil Mařák has inherited a spaceship and the 'profession' of a star wanderer. He belongs to those who roam the universe in search of occasional earnings, artifacts, and interesting or lost things - in other words, they steal whatever they can find, as their critics say. But they also admit that 'wanderers' are not among the bloody, murderous pirates. They mostly operate on the edge of the law and often beyond it. There are many like Jarmil, and at every turn, they face the pitfalls of the universe and life. Sometimes they step on someone's 'corn,' and that person may not take it lightly. Jarmil tries to survive; encounters with enemies come every day and can be quite tough. However, those who refuse to be broken can ultimately win even the most lost battles. The book is a loose continuation of the novel Star Wanderers.
