Beschreibung
The Urban Revolution is one of the most important books by Henri Lefebvre, the French Marxist philosopher and urban sociologist, whose ideas fundamentally changed not only the way we perceive and study the city but also how the city's inhabitants use and perceive it. This book is the first translation of Henri Lefebvre's work into Czech! Henri Lefebvre is not only the author of the term 'right to the city' but also the forefather of the urban revolution, not only in the intellectual sense hidden within the pages of the book and in the minds of academics but also in the real sense that belongs to the streets, moves our cities, and constantly calls for the search for new ways of building and functioning. The book was translated by Olga Walló. The foreword to the Czech edition was written by social geographer Michaela Pixová.
