The book contains fifteen beautiful devilish fairy tales and a selection of proverbs. Its author is Radek Adamec, and the co-author is Antonín Adamec. It is accompanied by full-page watercolor illustrations and charcoal drawings by Ludmila Vašková. These illustrations are true gems. They have their own distinctive character, but we can also sense a reference to the works of Jiří Trnka or Karel Franta. As long as the world exists, people have been wondering what fate awaits the good and honest, and what awaits the evil, treacherous, and sinful. No one has yet found an answer to this question, and so everyone continues to speculate about which group to join. Although people mostly believe in honorable conduct, just retribution, and the accounting of sins, it is probably also why it is still said today: 'God's mills grind slowly, but surely.' However, it often happens that even these mills do not grind as some deserve and others wish, and everyone has a slightly different idea of what justice looks like. Perhaps that is precisely why hell, devils, and one of the other folk sayings arose: 'Where God's justice fails, hellish justice takes over.'
