Neither their previous experience of crossing New Zealand on heavily loaded bikes with small children in a trailer deterred Monika and Jirka Vackovy from their intention to continue in the same way and with the same composition six months later in neighboring Australia. On the contrary, during the crossing of this beautiful yet harsh red continent, they could rely on the freshly acquired experiences from their previous trip and better fine-tune and, above all, slim down their equipment. In three months with the children on bikes, they covered 4,449 kilometers and, in addition to the magnificent Western Australia, they explored four other Australian states, including Tasmania. Their main home was once again their tent. This, their seventh travel book, tells about how the children grew fond of kangaroos and koalas, how they all coped with the exhausting heat and significant temperature fluctuations, the enormous distances, frequent water shortages, and above all, the wonderful and helpful people they met.
