Beschreibung
A fairy tale from ancient Egypt for the whole family. This story, nearly buried by time, takes place in the ancient land of Kemet. It lay along both banks of the river of the gods, the Nile, which meandered from the south, in the mythical land of Kush, to the northern delta, flowing into the Mediterranean Sea. At that time, a great pharaoh, Akhenaten, ruled this land – Kemet – along with his royal wife, Nefertiti. The pharaoh, who took to worshiping the Sun, which he called Aton, one day summoned an official named Ahmose for an audience. He asked him to embark on an expedition and bring back rare goods from distant lands. However, Ahmose's ship sank after a treacherous journey, and everyone except Ahmose perished. The sea cast him onto a mysterious island. There, after some time, he meets the ruler of the island – a gigantic snake that can speak human language and calls itself the ruler of Pwénetu. Ahmose eventually befriends the snake, which enlightens him about the mysterious origin of the island of Ka and ultimately gifts him rare goods for his sovereign. In the end, although it didn't seem that way at first, everything turns out well...
