The publication, in a visually attractive form, presents one of the most important chapters in the modern cultural history of Slovakia related to the beginnings of design education in our territory. The first part focuses on the individual departments of ŠUR and the personalities working there, while the second part introduces the school in a broader contemporary domestic and international context. The authors of the individual texts build on the fundamental research of Iva Mojžišová and supplement it with new insights and connections. Readers can thus become acquainted with several previously unknown documents and artifacts that only confirm the extraordinary level and regional significance of Bratislava's ŠUR. The publication is released in collaboration with the Slovak Design Center.
