The colorful workbook complements the textbook Prvouka 3, edition Reading with Understanding, which emphasizes the development of reading literacy. The workbook serves to practice and reinforce the material covered in the textbook. Through practical tasks, children become familiar with their surroundings, inanimate and living nature, and gain further knowledge about the human body. For better orientation, the workbook includes references to the corresponding pages in the textbook. A short excerpt from beautiful literature is followed by questions and tasks that support reading literacy. This is followed by fill-in-the-blanks, word searches, tasks for coloring or adding pictures from the appendix, puzzles, games, competitions, and ideas for group work. There are also experiments and observations, supplemented with instructive illustrations, and suggestions for outings and activities in nature during the given season. Similar to the textbook, the workbook features suggestions for further activities and methodological instructions at the bottom edge of the page.
