The modern color textbook is developed in accordance with the revised RVP ZV effective from September 1, 2013. It is part of the Reading with Understanding series aimed at supporting reading literacy using experiential learning methods. The introductory chapter summarizes knowledge about the Czech Republic from the 4th grade. The next chapter provides clear data about all regions of the Czech Republic. Students will focus on the region where they live and on the Prague Region. This is followed by a basic introduction to the individual continents. The section dedicated to Europe provides basic information about this continent and data about our neighboring countries. The textbook includes a map of the Czech Republic and Europe in a format suitable for desk work. The textbook also contains interdisciplinary relationships, cross-cutting themes, and group tasks. Excerpts from beautiful literature relate to the covered material and are supplemented with questions to support reading literacy.
