The textbook is created in accordance with modern trends in history teaching. Emphasis is placed on textual clarity and comprehensibility with regard to the age of the students, highlighting the connections in the historical development of individual countries and interdisciplinary relationships. The textbook is systematically and clearly divided into thematic chapters. Each subsection presents basic facts with a minimum of technical terms and dates. Each chapter begins with an excerpt from beautiful literature, followed by a clear thematic map, related ongoing questions for text comprehension and review of the material, as well as motivational and expanding tasks. The basic material is further supplemented with interesting facts written in smaller print along the margins. At the end of each subsection, the basic material is briefly summarized. The text contains many illustrative photographs, images, and diagrams. At the end of each chapter, there is a clear timeline and cyclical review in the form of tasks of various forms. A final review is also included. At the end of the textbook, there is a glossary of the most important terms and an index. Following that is a list of key competencies to be achieved and the expected outcomes from the material.
