The reader is part of the new edition of Reading with Understanding and expands the series of textbooks aimed at supporting reading literacy. The textbook aligns with the concepts and goals of the RVP ZV. The main goal is to further deepen children's interest in literature and to motivate them to read through engaging articles and fun tasks in a non-intrusive way. Each literary excerpt is accompanied by questions and tasks aimed at developing children's reading literacy. The texts are chosen to include all literary genres appropriate for the given age group and to correspond with the material covered in science classes. Most interdisciplinary questions also target knowledge from science. Additionally, the reader includes riddles and ideas for group tasks. There are also questions and tasks focused on the ethical education of students. Brief information about the most basic concepts from literary theory or interesting facts related to the topics from the excerpts is provided by a short encyclopedic explanation indicated by an owl symbol. At the end of the textbook, you will find the solutions to the riddles.
