The publication is developed as a methodology for working with people with Asperger's syndrome, containing worksheets divided into five thematic areas – emotions, nonverbal and verbal communication, relationships with others, and social behavior. These are the five fundamental areas in which people with AS have the greatest difficulties. The goal of the publication is to teach clients, through the therapist, alternative ways of resolving situations than those they have used so far, which may have led to their behavior being considered socially inappropriate. This way, the client can come to realize which method of resolving a given situation makes them feel better, what brings them gain (e.g., in the form of contact with peers), or what the inappropriate method of resolution takes away from them.
