Digitální medicína III – Táborský Miloš (2025)

The monograph presents new topics in digital medicine along with proposed solutions. Throughout the year, several significant events have occurred – a change in the perception of the digitalization of medicine by the Ministry of Health, where systemic changes offer hope for the realization of important projects such as the EHDS, as well as the initiation of projects from the National Recovery Plan aimed at general systemic solutions including legislation, evaluation of telemedicine projects, and assessment of the use of these models in routine clinical practice. I consider the presentation of the Telemedicine project from the National Recovery Plan, which we present in this book, and the discussion on the implementation of the EHDS, including issues of patient rights, to be significant. It is very good news that major professional societies (e.g., the American College of Cardiology) have already issued guidelines for some clinically important areas, such as digital management of patients with chronic heart failure (fig. 1, 2). These guidelines will be transformed into the environment of the Czech Republic after discussion, including the definition of reimbursements by healthcare payers.
